Trusting the Bigger Picture

Happy Fresh Start Friday!

Sometimes, life places us in situations that don’t make sense in the moment. Doors close. Plans shift. Opportunities slip away. It can feel like loss until we realize those detours were actually redirections.

What if the things you can’t see right now are working for your good?
What if the unanswered prayer, the delayed dream or the unexpected “no” is simply life’s way of clearing space for something bigger, greater, and perfectly aligned with your future?

Fresh starts often come disguised as setbacks. Just because you can’t see the full picture today doesn’t mean it isn’t being painted.

Trusting the process isn’t about blind faith. It’s about practicing habits that keep you grounded when the outcome isn’t visible yet. Here are a few ways a person can do it:
🌱 Reframe the unknown: Instead of seeing delays or detours as failure, shift the mindset: “This is part of my preparation, not my punishment.”
📌 Anchor in what you can control: your effort, attitude, and choices.
🔑 Reflect on past breakthroughs: your own history proves the process is trustworthy.

💡 This week’s reminder: You don’t need to see the entire path to take the next step. Trust the unseen. The greater is already unfolding.

With love and confidence,

Happy Fresh Start Friday! I love happiness. My recent vacation reminded me that happiness isn’t hiding; it’s quietly growing inside the choices we make every day. At any given time, we can say, “There’s a lot going on.” When I hear that statement, I sense an undertone that suggests we can’t make too much room for happiness because of how doom and gloom might fill the room. Here’s what I’ve been reminded of: happiness isn’t always something you find; it’s something you allow. As human beings,...

Happy Fresh Start Friday! I’m a huge Luther Vandross fan. Since he passed, his music speaks to me in a different way. Sometimes it makes me sad. The word loneliness shows up a lot in his songs. A close friend of his once said, “If you really want to know Luther, listen to Any Love.” I did. Whew! All my Luther wanted was love! He sang, “Everybody feels alone without love.” Loneliness is a signal; proof that humans need connection. Belonging is the answer: not just having people around, but...
